Effective date: April 2026 · Version 1.1 (Design Partner)
These are Design Partner program terms. DraftIQ is currently in a limited Design Partner program. These terms govern your use of the tool. Commercial terms will be issued separately at public launch. By accessing DraftIQ, you agree to these terms in full.
DraftIQ provides PDF data extraction and workflow automation tools for engineering teams, combining client-side vector parsing with AI vision analysis. The service currently includes four tools: a P&ID Valve Extractor, an Instrument Index, a Document Metadata Harvester, an Archive Digitizer (for legacy project digitization), and a Mining Inspection Report Extractor (coming soon). Access is by invitation only.
The service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice.
DraftIQ is not an engineering firm and does not provide engineering services, engineering advice, design review, regulatory compliance determinations, or professional certification of any kind.
All outputs produced by DraftIQ are machine-generated extraction results intended for independent professional review. DraftIQ extracts and structures data from documents — it does not interpret, validate, certify, or approve that data for engineering or regulatory purposes. No output from DraftIQ constitutes an engineering deliverable, a compliance determination, or a professional opinion.
Design Partner access is granted by invitation code. You may not share, transfer, or sell your access code. DraftIQ reserves the right to revoke access at any time, with or without notice, including for misuse, breach of these terms, or discontinuation of the Design Partner program.
You may use DraftIQ solely for your own internal business purposes. You must not:
DraftIQ output is not a professional engineering deliverable. All extracted data, schedules, and metadata produced by DraftIQ are machine-generated extraction results and must be independently reviewed and verified by a qualified professional before use in:
The confidence scoring system (HIGH / REVIEW) provided by DraftIQ is a draft review indicator to support your review process. It does not guarantee accuracy and does not substitute for independent professional verification.
DraftIQ uses automated consistency checks, geometric analysis, and AI vision to extract data. DraftIQ does not perform engineering calculations, compliance determinations, or certified design outputs. All output requires independent professional review before use in design, procurement, or construction. DraftIQ does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any extracted data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DraftIQ, its owner, operators, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. DraftIQ makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.
In all cases, DraftIQ's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for access to the service in the preceding 3 months, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.
DraftIQ, its name, interface, methodology, AI configuration, prompt engineering, validation logic, and output formats are the exclusive intellectual property of the DraftIQ business owner. These terms do not grant you any licence to reproduce, copy, or commercialise any part of the DraftIQ tool or process. This does not restrict your use of output data derived from your own documents.
You retain full ownership of all documents you upload and all output data extracted from those documents.
Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality. DraftIQ will not disclose your documents or extracted data to any third party, except as required to operate the service (including AI and processing providers as outlined in Section 8). You agree not to disclose details of the DraftIQ tool, methodology, or Design Partner engagement without prior written consent.
Uploaded PDFs are processed in memory and not retained after extraction. Usage logs (timestamps, file sizes, extraction method) are retained for operational purposes. Usage logs do not contain document content.
Third-party AI processing: Document content is transmitted to Anthropic (Claude API) and Google Cloud Vision for data extraction. DraftIQ uses API configurations designed to minimize data retention and prevent model training where supported by vendor terms. Data handling is ultimately subject to each vendor's API terms of service. Symbol detection and geometric analysis are performed locally in your browser and do not involve any third-party service. By using DraftIQ, you confirm that you have the right to share uploaded documents with third-party AI processing services, and that doing so does not breach any confidentiality obligations you have to your clients or employer. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
By submitting feedback through the in-tool form or directly to DraftIQ, you grant DraftIQ a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the tool. Feedback will not be attributed to you without consent.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DraftIQ, its owner, operators, and contractors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved under BC jurisdiction.
DraftIQ may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the tool after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
