Terms of Service

These are beta terms. DraftIQ is currently in beta. These terms govern your use of the beta tool. Commercial terms will be issued separately at public launch. By accessing DraftIQ, you agree to these terms in full.

1. The service

DraftIQ provides AI-assisted PDF data extraction tools for engineering professionals. The service currently includes a P&ID valve and instrument extraction tool and, in development, a document metadata harvesting tool. Access during beta is by invitation only.

2. Beta access

Beta access is granted by invitation code. You may not share, transfer, or sell your access code. DraftIQ reserves the right to revoke access at any time, with or without notice, including for misuse, breach of these terms, or discontinuation of the beta program.

You may use DraftIQ solely for your own internal business purposes. You must not:

DraftIQ output is not a professional engineering deliverable. All extracted data, schedules, and metadata produced by DraftIQ must be independently reviewed and verified by a qualified engineer or designated professional before use in:

The confidence scoring system (HIGH / REVIEW / AMBIGUOUS) provided by DraftIQ is a guide to support your review process. It does not guarantee accuracy and does not substitute for independent professional verification.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DraftIQ, its owner, operators, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

The beta tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. You use it at your own risk.

6. Intellectual property

DraftIQ, its name, interface, methodology, AI configuration, prompt engineering, validation logic, and output formats are the exclusive intellectual property of the DraftIQ business owner. These terms do not grant you any licence to reproduce, copy, or commercialise any part of the DraftIQ tool or process.

You retain full ownership of all documents you upload and all output data extracted from those documents.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality. DraftIQ will not disclose your documents or extracted data to any third party. You agree not to disclose details of the DraftIQ tool, methodology, or beta experience without prior written consent.

8. Data and privacy

Uploaded PDFs are processed in memory and not retained after extraction. Usage logs (timestamps, file sizes, extraction method) are retained for operational purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

9. Feedback and improvement

By submitting feedback through the in-tool form or directly to DraftIQ, you grant DraftIQ a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the tool. Feedback will not be attributed to you without consent.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved under BC jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

DraftIQ may update these terms during the beta period. Continued use of the tool after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
